Synkromotive Controller Corrosion Issues

Here is a Synkromotive Controller that looks to have been sitting in or had much water intrusion and some galvanic corrosion that is caused by letting the controller sit while connected to the cables and batteries in low battery mode. Mine had some corrosion because of the same issue but not to this level. Photos below. 

This is bad corrosion. 

I think this might be where your problem lies.

Corrosion into the caps can't be good. 

Corrosion covering the inside plastic covering. 

Main Board connectors look good. 

This looks real bad and the corrosion could be onto the IGBT connections. 

Looks like like this was sitting in water. You can see a clear water line on the heat sink.

Bad and will for sure obstruct cooling air. I think this was in water or exposed to lots of water in its life.
